Share your "Happiest Moments"

Journalist Richard Deitsch unwittingly unleashed the following trend: when he saw a heartwarming picture backstage to a story he was working on, he tweeted to his followers, asking for other "Happiest Moment" pictures.

He got more than 200 pictures - so powerful in capturing the essence of love inside people's hearts.

Each picture wordlessly shows what life is about, what we strive for and dream about - the sweetness and preciousness of life and loving.

"I thought to myself how remarkable it was to have an image of what was clearly one of the best moments of Steven's life. I wondered: How many others have a similar image?" Mr Deitsch said. "I could never have expected what came next." - See the pictures here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.611169228922970.1073741835.295429577163605&type=3

So the Everyone Matters community passed on the challenge, and I am now passing it to you: Share YOUR "Happiest Moments" pictures online (facebook/twitter/instagram/etc) - and tell your friends and followers why- watch it brighten up their day and give hope and inspiration where you did not even realise it was needed!

Blessings!

Stand with Malala

We are in the middle of an Education Emergency:

At this moment there are 57 million children without access to education and millions more who aren’t learning in school. Working together, we can lower that number to zero by 2015.

On July 12 — less than a year after she was shot by the Taliban for her strong voice in this fight — Malala Yousafzai will mark her 16th birthday by delivering the highest leadership of the UN a set of education demands written by youth, for youth, to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

We can’t stand on the UN floor next to Malala — but we can all stand with her. Sign this letter to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to show your demand for emergency action in support for Malala’s education fight.

Blessings!

A21 // 11 days to raise awareness!

In 2008, Nick and Christine Caine founded The A21 Campaign, an anti-human-trafficking organization that is dedicated to abolishing slavery in the 21st century. A21 has a global presence around the world with offices in Greece, Ukraine, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, Australia, USA and South Africa. The A21 Campaign’s comprehensive approach includes raising awareness, preventing future trafficking, taking legal action and providing rehabilitation services for survivors.

Nelson Mandela

In honour of a man who fought for freedom and against apartheid in my homeland, here is a quote by Nelson Mandela:

"For to be free is not merely to cast off one's own chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the  freedom of others"

UN.GIFT has posted some BIG NEWS: Love146

They've partnered with Amistad America to connect the historical story of slavery with the larger Abolition movement! They'll be giving a joint presentation as the Amistad sails along the Connecticut coast this summer, equipping thousands on how to fight trafficking...

By partnering together, their hope is to turn tourists into Abolitionists -- offering everyone the tools they need to be agents of change.
