Free2Play
is an initiative by Soul Action and Tearfund. The aim is to raise awareness of
the millions of people around the world who are not free and to encourage those
of us who are free, to use this freedom to campaign, raise money and awareness
of this slavery.
They don’t want you to do more stuff, but to make the things you already
do count for something! We’re free to play, but millions aren’t, so use
your freedom to raise money doing the things you love doing!
Next time you score
a goal for your footie team, perform a song with your band, or get to the next
level on your PS3, give a pound (or whatever amount you want) to projects
serving people whose freedom has been stolen by poverty and exploitation. Set
yourself a target, get your friends to equal your pledges and before you know
it, you’ll be raising loads of money for some amazing Soul Action supported
projects around the world!
