Open Doors: Great Big Tea Party 2013

This May Bank Holiday (25-27 May), ovens will be humming and kettles will be boiling as volunteer fundraisers across the UK and Ireland take part in Open Doors’ seventh annual Great Big Tea Party. The question is... will you be among them?
Open Doors' Great Big Tea Party is now a fabulous fundraising tradition. 2013 is our seventh year of ‘baking a difference’ for the persecuted church. And you can make it the biggest and best yet!
So what is the Great Big Tea party? Bunting, buns and a chance to celebrate God’s abundance... The Great Big Tea Party is a simple and fun way to raise vital support for the persecuted church. And we know how much this could capture your imagination, because of all the emails and letters that come in after each year’s events.
This year’s Great Big Tea Parties will be popping up all around the UK and Ireland to celebrate the faith of persecuted Christians who live in the ten countries around the world where faith costs the most.
Order your party pack now! Party packs come complete with posters, invites, quiz, bunting and all you need to hold your very own Great Big Tea Party in your home, church or local community centre. You can order your party pack online or you can download your party pack below:

Open Doors Movement: responding to the cry of the persecuted church

Tonight at church we took up our monthly charity offering. This month, the charity is Open Doors. They are doing incredible work with the persecuted church all over the world. Too often we take for granted the fact that we can freely go to church, read our Bible, pray, worship or access limitless Christian literature online. We forget our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world who are being placed in concentration camps and killed for their faith!

Open Doors is responding to this cry and reaching out to the persecuted church. Help fund this work by visiting their site.

Blessings!
