Awake Arise Conference, Preston (6th October)

Historically, Jesus Christ has had a hugely significant and beneficial effect on our nation, providing a foundation for our life together. In recent years, however, that framework has been questioned and our society has undergone enormous change. Many are now asking what the future holds. All this brings both new opportunities and new challenges for Christians and Churches as we seek to hold out the hope of Jesus Christ and to serve our communities.
The 'Awake Arise' conference will be held in Preston on Saturday 6th October (9.30am-2pm). It is a joint initiative of Christian Concern
and Myerscough College.
It is a special event during which you will discuss and consider a Christian response to some of the underlying trends in our society. It will also help to identify practical ways in which churches and Christians can bring the life-transforming love, goodness and truth of Jesus Christ to our communities and nation.
Venue: Myerscough College, St Michaels Road, Bilsborrow, Preston, Lancashire, PR3 0RY
Book your place by clicking here.
If you are unable to attend this conference, please pray for the leaders and those attending that they would have open hearts and minds to what it is that God wants to achieve from this conference, rather than promoting their own agendas. Pray that it will be a productive time where God will really speak through them and that He will open doors miraculously! Basically, PRAY!
Blessings!

"I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity-the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time." {1 Timothy 2v1-6}
