As promised on Mandela Day 2013 (19.07.13), this is the my series on their 67 suggested ways of changing the world. This one also comes under the category of 'Think of others':
11. If you’re a builder, help build or improve someone’s home.
There are so many projects that people like builders with practical skills can help with! Just think of all the homes damaged and destroyed by natural disasters in the past years! Even if you are not helping someone rebuild, you could help with repairs. Think of elderly or disabled neighbours, widows, single mothers or even women whose husbands are in the armed forces (just to mention a few). There are many, many people who are in need of practical help with their homes (or charitable organisations) who cannot afford to pay for it.
Blessings!

Having completed my 365 day challenge to post a tip, organisation, cause, issue or inspiration every day for 1 whole year (2012-2013) to help each of us to figure out how we can make a difference to the world we live in, I decided to continue posting! I am now volunteering in Los Angeles and working with victims of human trafficking. Stay tuned for more on that and I hope you will be inspired to start where you are and use what you have to bring on world change! Blessings! Ronell x
