Free Clicks to Change the World!

I have previously posted about The Greater Good Network's 'Free Clicks' scheme, but they have recently given their website a facelift and added to their 'Free Clicks'.

On the main website, there are 9 tabs for 9 different causes that you can click on to make a free contribution to the 9 causes! Click on as many of the tabs as you are willing/able to and then click on the 'Free Click' buttons on each page, e.g. the hunger site tab (see below).

Basically, the corporate sponsors match the amounts of 'Free Clicks' made by the public by giving to the following projects:

Currently, this is what your free click will provide:
- GreaterGood tab: providing pets (shelter dogs) for vets (war veterans)
- Hunger tab: funding cups of food and clean water
- Breast Cancer tab: funding mammograms for women in need
- Animals tab: helping rescued animals
- Veterans tab: supporting hungry and homeless veterans to get back on their feet
- Autism tab: providing therapy for children on the autism spectrum
- Diabetes tab: funding research and development
- Literacy tab: giving books to children
- Rainforest tab: saving habitats

Please help to support this initiative! It literally costs you nothing, but a few minutes of your time to make a huge difference to the world and the lives of others around you. Please take the time to donate your free clicks!

You can also donate directly through the website: http://greatergood.com/?utm_source=CTGtabs&utm_medium=TabLink&utm_campaign=TabBar

Blessings!

Support the Greater Good Network

I have written many posts about the various sites, online shops and causes supported or owned by the Greater Good network. Today’s post is supporting this network as a whole, rather than posting on a specific aspect or cause that they support. GreaterGood.org is an independent charitable organisation devoted to improving the health and well-being of people, animals, and the planet. They achieve this by providing funding to other registered charitable organisations that focus on core areas including:
•               Alleviating and addressing the root causes of world hunger and food insecurity, and promoting peaceful co-existence;
•               Early detection and treatment of breast cancer and other widespread health concerns, particularly in women;
•               Preventing and treating childhood illness, disease and other children's health and well-being concerns;
•               Promoting children's literacy and education;
•               Protecting and restoring the environment; and
•               Providing care and feeding of rescued animals in shelters and sanctuaries and addressing the root causes of their conditions.

GreaterGood.org grants funds generated through its Gifts That Give More™ program and the GreaterGood Network family of websites to the nonprofit partners and charities responsible for implementing and sustaining the programs described on the GreaterGood Network websites. GreaterGood.org also provides grants directly to worthwhile organisations dedicated to the welfare of the global community.

You can donate to the Greater Good Network online. If you are unable to donate financially, you can go to the following of the Greater Good Network sites to make a free click, which then prompts the online sponsors to donate to that cause:

The Hunger Site: Your click gives the value of 1.1 cups of food to the hungry.
The Breast Cancer Site: Your click helps a woman in need get a free mammogram.
The Animal Rescue Site: Your click gives the value of 0.6 bowls of food for rescued animals.
The Veteran Site: Your click helps a homeless and hungry veteran get a free meal.
The Autism Site: Your click helps provide therapy for children living with autism and their families.
The Child Health Site: Your click helps provide a child
with lifesaving health care.
The Literacy Site: Your click helps give a child in need
a book to read and treasure.
The Rainforest Site: Your click helps protect
11.4 square feet of rainforest habitat for wildlife.

Blessings!

Send a FREE e-card to promote awareness and generate funding

So in the spirit of Christmas, I would like to recommend sending a free e-card (instead of paper Christmas cards) to your friends and family. These cards can both promote and raise awareness for a cause that you are passionate about, and are often sponsored, which means that it does not cost you anything to send them, but the sponsor donates to the related cause on your behalf!

The e-cards that I am suggesting are The Hunger Site e-cards. You can send cards from: The Hunger Site, The Breast Cancer Site, The Animal Rescue Site, The Veterans Site, The Autism Awareness Site, The Child Health Site, The Literacy Site or The Rainforest Site, dependent on the cause that you are passionate about promoting and supporting.

The categories you can choose from include:
·      Christmas
·      Animals
·      Favourites
·      Inspirational
·      Thinking Of You
·      Special Occasions
·      Blank
·      Promote The Cause
·      E-Cards That Give

So send an e-card to your friends and family today to support the work of The Greater Good Network.

Blessings!

Christmas Gifts that Keep Giving: The Literacy Site Store

Today’s post is about The Literacy Site Store, which is owned by the Greater Good Network. The Literacy Site Store supports and promotes literacy for children. Reading is a fundamental part of literacy, whether it is an adult reading a book to a child, or children learning to read by themselves. Reading is the foundation to writing, so without a solid foundation in this area, children’s educational future, and ultimately their employment prospects, are greatly diminished.

A simple way to promote literacy for children is to visit The Literacy Site for ‘free clicks’ to donate free books and by buying Christmas gifts from The Literacy Site Store. Each item you buy will fund at least one new book for a child!

I personally really love the jewellery with inspirational messages on it and have purchased many items for myself, or as gifts. You can go to their Shop Green section for organic and recycled products.

They also have a lovely section for Christmas decorations- have a little look!

Blessings!

Christmas Gifts that keep giving: The Child Health Site Store

Today’s post is about The Child Health Site Store. It is another of the online stores owned by the Greater Good Network. Each item you buy in this online store funds vital healthcare for more than four children.

I personally really love the jewellery with inspirational messages on it and have purchased many items for myself, or as gifts. You can go to their Shop Green section for organic and recycled products.

They also have a lovely section for Christmas decorations- have a little look!

To do something FREE to support the work of the Child Health Site, go to their page and do a free click to provide free health care for children!

To see how your purchases and free clicks help to provide free health care for children, go to their Projects page.

Stand up for helpless children who are not able to stand up for themselves!

Blessings!

Christmas Gifts that keep giving: The Autism Site Store

This year, I have a young boy in my class who has ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder). He is absolutely gorgeous and has a completely hilarious sense of humour! He has adjusted to school beautifully and is making excellent progress. That is not by my doing- I have a fantastic team of people that I work with! I know I could not do it on my own. And I think that is the point that many people miss about working/living with a child that has some kind of special need: no matter how well they are doing, no matter how incredibly rewarding and successful some days are, and no matter the level of planning and organisation you put in, the fact stands that there will be days or times when things will not go according to plan and you will need a break!

This little boy’s mum is an absolute inspiration! And as wonderful, active and proactive she is, the sleepless nights, his siblings, and the pressures that come with  all of this do wear on her and sometimes she just needs a break. She is extremely fortunate that she has an involved and supportive husband, sister and parents that help out when that time comes. This is not the case for everyone…

On The Autism Site Store (Greater Good Network), every item you buy pays for therapy and research. This helps to fund research, therapy, or give much needed respite to families. You can buy items that particularly raise awareness about autism, or you could perhaps directly sponsor/fund the following things:

All children are hard work at times, but children with autism can be extremely challenging in situations that we consider to be simple, every day situations. So support autistic children and their families who are caring for them buy buying from this site, or donating online!

Blessings!

Christmas Gifts that keep giving: The Veterans Site Store

So today is 1st December and the official countdown to Christmas has started!

We are headed back to the Greater Good Network’s range of online stores and today, we are looking at The Veterans Site Store. This store supports veterans who may be homeless or struggling to make ends meet. Each purchase on this site pays for at least one meal for a veteran.

I personally really love the jewellery with inspirational messages on it and have purchased many items for myself, or as gifts. You can go to their Shop Green section for organic and recycled products.

They also have a lovely section for Christmas decorations- have a little look!

If you know someone who is/was in the armed forces, and want to show your support and gratitude for what they are doing/have done so that we do not have to take up arms ourselves, support this cause!

Blessings!

Christmas Gifts That Keep Giving: Animal Rescue Site

So the gig was amazing and here is my actual post!

------------------------------

So today’s post is about another of the online stores linked to the Greater Good Network- The Animal Rescue Site Store: www.theanimalrescuesite.greatergood.com/store .

This online store sells many different items, including pet accessories, clothing, jewellery and Fairtrade items. Each item that is sold funds at least 14 bowls of food for animals in need. So far, 492,408,168 bowls of food have been given to animals in need through this site alone!

I personally really love the jewellery with inspirational messages on it and have purchased many items for myself, or as gifts.

They also have a lovely section for Christmas decorations and stocking fillers, so have a little look!

If you love animals, why not buy gifts for others that will also make a positive difference for maltreated animals!

Blessings!
